Mission
At Chapel Haven, our mission is to know Jesus Christ and make Him fully known to others.
● We come to know Jesus by growing a close relationship with Him through Bible study, prayer, worship, and surrender to His will. (John 14:5-7 NIV)
● We make Him fully known to others through Bible-based teaching, fellowship, and service. (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV)
● We do all these things with the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit while encouraging one another along the way. (2 Timothy 1:7 NIV and 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV)
Community
‘“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” ‘ — Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)
We are a vibrant and diverse Seventh-day Adventist community that is multigenerational and multicultural. Despite our differences, what unites us is our love for Jesus and for one another. Through our shared faith, we strive to embody the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—in all that we do. By living out these qualities, we not only strengthen our community but also reflect the transformative power of Jesus in our lives.
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (NIV)

Identity
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” — 1 John 3:1 (NIV)
Seventh-day Adventists are a mainstream Protestant denomination founded in 1863. While our personal identity is primarily in Christ as children of God, our identity and mission as a global church is deeply rooted in our history. Adventism began and continues today with a profound desire to delve deeper into scripture. It’s this deep understanding of scripture that has led us to worshipping on the Sabbath (“Seventh-day”) and preparing for the return of Jesus Christ (“Adventist”). We recognize that one of the early founders, Ellen G. White, received the gift of prophesy. Her inspired writings always point her readers to God and the Bible as the source of truth. Her writings are foundational to our understanding of key beliefs and emphasis on health, healthy living, education, humanitarian efforts, and global evangelism.
